Digital ministry against severe measures against fleeing IT workers

MOSCOW, Nov 1 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Digital Development Ministry is against draconian measures against the IT specialists who have gone abroad, and favors development of a program to win them back, Minister Maksut Shadayev said on Tuesday at conference CNews Forum 2022.

“We should create a climate to make them want to return and work in Russia. No limitations should be here,” Shadayev said.

“We do not ask additionally to take any measures against those employees who have left and continue working. Our task is to design a program of reverse relocation and prove in practice that one can work here safely.”

The minister added that companies should decide for themselves about the employees with access to the key systems from the point of view of security whether they can work from abroad or not.
